The piano was invented in Italy in 1709 by harpsichord maker Bartolomeo di Francesco Cristofori. One of Cristofori’s original pianos is still in existence at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
There are many types of pianos to this day, some have more/less pedals, some can even play themselves! We will need to know what style the piano is, upright or grand.

Upright

Upright pianos can normally fit through doorways without having to take anything apart. Once on our wheels they can be moved "horizontally" but keep in mind that as soon as there are steps involved, things get more difficult to move these heavy items. If you are only needing one of these moved up/down a step or two, 2 of our Elite movers will be able to handle the task. As soon as you need this moved up/down a flight of stairs, you will want to book 3 if not 4 movers to ensure no one gets hurt.
Grand (Baby Grand)

As the name says, these pianos are grand, meaning large. You will need our Elite movers to move these. Unless it is being moved from one side of the room to the next, we will need to stand it on its side to transport it. This step required 3 movers to do it correctly. Once in the upright position, those three movers can relocate this style of piano "horizontally" pretty well, the same goes for if there is one or two steps. If this style needs to be moved any more then a few steps, you will need 4-5 movers to be able to safely do the job.
